LIGHT OF LIFE

(Isa 8:20) “To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.”
(John 8:12) “Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”

Friend, let me ask you if you truly have a testimony of Christ in your heart and life? Have you ever come to the realization that you were born into this world as a lost, hell bound sinner, and your sinful condition is why Christ went to the cross to pay for your sinful condition?

Does your life seem so dark and no way out? Jesus can change all of that. Like our verse says, He is the "light of life". Why not allow the Lord Jesus Christ to truly brighten up your life today? If Christ is speaking to you about it today, please don't turn Him away. That is the greatest sin you can ever commit!

Let me ask the Christian today, do you have a testimony that proves you have accepted Christ as your Saviour? Nothing can bring more life to your church than someone being born again, or as we say "getting saved". And there is nothing that proves you are saved than a desire to bringing others to Christ. Today so many churches today are just going through the motions because there are no "new births". No one is getting saved. Whose fault is that. Who are we praying for and giving our testimony to?

Here is a thought. What brings more excitement and life to a young couple's home? A new born baby. That also applies to a church. There is no better way to bring excitement, life to the church, and even a revival than when there is a “new birth”.

Let me challenge you today to examine your testimony. Your testimony is the greatest tool to pointing some poor lost soul to Christ for salvation!!! And maybe you are one that says "I can't lead someone to salvation". That tells me then 2 things.

  1. 1) Apathy.

  2. 2) I was always told, "You can't talk about grandma's apple pie if you have never tasted it".

Examine your heart & your testimony today. It will make a difference, both now and for all eternity! Not only for you, but for some poor lost soul, Christian.

How bright is your life today?
