HOW GREAT ARE YOU?

How great are you?

A question like that sometimes will make us look at ourselves. But look at this verse.

1 Corinthians 4:7: For who maketh thee to differ from another? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive? now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it?

When I look at this verse it just makes me look at how little I really am, and how great God really is. In the middle of that verse it says, "what hast thou that thou didst not receive?" Friend, everything comes from God. Any accomplishment, the air we breath, the water we drink, and the salvation that is freely offered. That is just a drop in the bucket of how much God does for each of us.

So be thankful in everything.

"In every thing give thanks..." (1 Thessalonians 5:18a)

We have nothing to glory in but in God alone! When we do it makes our own, personal little world and our own little problems see so small.

"Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite (Psalm 147:5)
