Chaos Vs. Order

The Bible tells us in 1 Corinthians 14:40

“Let all things be done decently and in order.” 

It seems like we live in a world that has a little more chaos this year as to that of last year. And it seems to be growing with each passing year.  So if there is chaos, then that means there is less order in our world today. 

The first time those two words, “in order” are mentioned is in Genesis 22.  And it was Abraham followings out the commands of God to the "T".  Because God brought order to the life of Abraham, and Abraham obeyed, God blessed his lineage today known as Israel.  Oh what a lesson here.  When God commands us to do something, it is only to bring order into our life.  And when there is order there is blessings. 

Now the last time I read those two words, “in order” it is mentioned in Titus 1:5

“…thou shouldest set in order the things that are wanting…” 

We live in a world wanting all the things they can, but few ever truly want God and the things of God.  Then we wonder why our country has spun so far out of order, and in full chaos mode. 

Isn’t it about time to get back to God’s order of things?  Back to what God wants for our lives. Abraham obeyed God, and the order of things that God commanded, and God blessed. Is your life a little bit chaotic?  Then is it in order of how God wants it for you? It could be.  It is YOUR CHOICE today.

Just remember that God’s Holy Word is given to us to bring order and peace into our life. Get into the Bible, and let it get into you!  Let it change you, bring order to your life, and guide you in these chaotic times we live in.
